I Completely Disagree!

I was on yahoo yesterday and I saw a rather interesting news article in their gaming section! It was about the top 5 games that should retire. The first one was sonic the hedgehog which I completely agree with. It has been going on too long and its not really going nowhere. I think that they should retire even if it was for just a few years so they could completely rethink it and come back with something that has never been done in the sonic franchise. Second they listed the Tony Hawk pro skateboarding series. I also agree with this one. I didn't become a gamer until the PlayStation era so I don't remember a time without these games. They are just old news, its enough already! The third game listed was the Assassins Creed franchise. When I saw it I absolutely could not believe it. Sure we are on number four now but every new game gets better. The first was crap to the second, the second was crap to the third, and the third was crap to the fourth. I am sure that when they release the fifth one this summer or whenever they said, it will make the fourth one look like absolute crap. I honestly don't remember the fourth one but i think it was one of those anime games that I don't play. The last one they listed was the Sims. I do and I don't agree with this one. I agree because they release way too many add-ons between games. There is going to be 6 in march with the addition of showtime and honestly I think five was too many. The reason I don't agree with yahoo's article is because it is still a fun game that makes it easy to waste a few hours tortur....... I mean caring for your Sims. Anyway please tell me what you think and tell me about any other games that you feel should retire. Oh one more thing! I know my posting has been erratic lately but I got an English Bulldog puppy for Christmas and long story short, he is a lot more work than anticipated! I'll post a pic of him later today!

Possible Game Changer?

Today I wanted to give my views on something else you guys might have heard of! Alienware's console sized gaming pc. When I first saw it my first thought was "This is going to be a total game changer!" Finally the console wars won't be just between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft! I thought that if they could make it affordable it would significantly raise PC gaming popularity. Unfortunately once it came out and I saw it's features I was extremely disappointed and then I noticed the price... For $700 all you get is an Intel i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 1TB of hard drive space. Sure 1TB of HDD space is a lot but not even that makes this computer worth the $700 they are charging for it! You can get an HP slim series with an i5 Intel processor, 6GB of RAM, and 1TB of HDD space for $640, thats $60 less for twice the features! Even if all you want is what is inside the alienware pc you can order the HP slim with the exact same things and it will only come out to $550! That is $150 cheaper than the alienware pc! If you want a true gaming pc and your on a budget for just $730 you can get an amazing Intel gaming Pc from iBuypower. Anyway I would love to hear your opinions! I forgot how fun blogging is! Valentines Day is Going to be EPIC!

I'm sure you have all heard but I'm so excited that I thought I would write about it anyway! Nicki Minaj is releasing her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, on Valentines day! Also coming out on that day is the new Twisted Metal game which I am equally excited about! Between the two I think my head will explode from the sheer awesomeness that this Valentines day is going to bring! OH! I almost forgot!! DO NOT preorder twisted metal! If you preorder it you will not receive the voucher for the PS2 classic Twisted Metal Black! Sure you will get Axel but they plan to release him as a DLC later in the month and I am sure he will be less expensive than buying both twisted metal games separate!

 

Worst Two Months of My Life!!!

If you ever followed me you would know that I've been gone for two months! Those two months were the worst months of my entire life!

October is notorious for being a month filled with bad luck but never in my life has it affected me like it did this October! On the very first day of the month I got sick with the flu. I very quickly noticed that this wasn't an ordinary flu. Usually when I get the flu it lasts a day or two and I never throw up or anything but this flu lasted a whole week and I was throwing up almost every day! On the eighth when I finally got over it I was on my computer down in my living room when suddenly the smoke detector started going off upstairs. I ran up to see what it was and as I got there I say my WiFi router explode in a cloud of smoke! I ran into the bathroom and wet the hand towel and quickly ran back and threw it over the now burning router! Thankfully it put out the router immediately. I do have a desktop PC but I don't use nor do I like it very much ever since I got my Mac Pro! That was the first ever in home fire Ive experienced in my life! On Monday the tenth me and a couple of my friends went to one of the cool local bar/restaurants  to have some fun! We all love the place and have been going to it for years! As usual we all got one of their famous cheeseburgers and a few drinks! Within minutes I knew something was wrong! I ran to the bathroom and not a minute too soon! I threw up what seemed like all the food i had eaten that day and my friends were not far behind! I got home home and called the doctor only to find out what I already knew... I had food poisoning. I've only had it one other time in my life, when i was 6, and it was awful! Not surprisingly it was just as bad if not worse than the first time! Like the flu it also lasted a whole week and the vomiting never ceased!

I was in a really bad funk the whole month of November mainly because it is when my grandfather passed away! My dad was a marine and he was away a lot so I used to hang with my grandpa a lot to help fill that void! It was two years since he died and his death both shattered and brought together the whole family. Other than that I guess it was a pretty good month! December on the other hand was freaking awesome! I was on vacation practically the whole month so I didn't really have time to post then but now I'm back, I'm motivated, and I'm ready to restart this blog full time!

Breaking News!!!

Wow It was a day filled with surprises! Not only has Apple released an iPhone 4s when everyone expecting an iPhone 5 I have just received word that Steve Jobs has DIED!

There are little improvements made on the new iPhone. Only two hardware changes in all! They added the A5 processor and they upgraded to an 8 mpx camera! To some this may come as a disappointment but I don't really see that way. I'm just so so about it to be honest. The biggest change came to the software but I will talk about all that tomorrow!

Steve Jobs DIED! I just cant believe it! It was apparently caused by his long battle with cancer. That will take some time to sink in :(   in the meantime try to stay happy -_- To all you crazy Apple freaks you need to calm down! So what if you didn't get you precious iPhone 5! I will come just be patient, I wanted it too but you don't see me freaking out about it!!

Kirby Mass Attack Review

Kirby Mass Attack is a great game with an unfortunately horrible story line! The game starts off in the typical Kirby fashion. You see Kirby relaxing on a hill when suddenly the bad guy comes in. In this story he is a Skull King or something like that. At this point anything could happen because even though all Kirby stories are the same, they all have their subtle differences. The Skull King pulls out his magic staff and uses it to split Kirby into 10 substantially weaker Kirbys. One by one he starts destroying the Kirbys and with a last gleam of hope Kirby's heart star appears and guides him to safety! Now it is your mission to rid the land of the Skull King menace!

The game play is, as usual, the best part. You start out with just one Kirby but the more fruit you collect the more Kirbys you will have. You dash around destroying enemies and collecting coins. Kirby comes across both old and new enemies that are as challenging as ever. there are some obvious advantages to having more than one Kirby but its the disadvantages that give the game most of its challenge! To start, keeping all those Kirbys together is a challenge on its own but when your trying to avoid an enemy's strike its a whole other story. There wasn't much of a tutorial and for me this was a good thing because I hate when a game makes you go through a huge tutorial. Other than that the graphics are as expected and the sounds are generic. Crappy as its flaws may be it is still a great game that I'm sure will keep me playing for hours to come. I rate it a 7 out of 10 for its childish charm and fun game play!

Rage?!

I went ahead and decided to pre-order Rage at Best Buy yesterday and was shocked to hear that it comes out on tuesday which is tomorrow!! I had no idea it was coming out so soon! I thought for sure that it was coming out in December for some reason!! It's a little embaracing that I didn't know when its coming out! I always know when games are coming out and I'm really good at guessing if it doesn't have a date yet so this is kinda awkward!! Anyways it looks like a great game and I'm just glad I wasn't too late to pre-order it because I really wanted those extras!! If you haven't pre-ordered it yet than it's too late but if you have Congratulations!! Your copy will be ready for you tomorrow unless your going to a midnight event in which case it will be ready tonight!! Happy Gaming!!

Battlefield 3 Open Beta!!

The Battlefield 3 Open beta finally came out on the 25th of last month and it is amazing!! Honestly, even after loads of people telling me that I should play them, I have never played any of the Battlefield games so I'm not going to give you a huge opinion on it because I really have nothing to base it off of. As far as graphics and all that stuff goes, I got to say that it looks pretty real. It was like I was really there. When it comes to game play I cant really tell you. The mechanics are nice and smooth and the animations are, while still glitchy, also nice and clear. Graphically it has to be one of the best games I have ever seen! If you haven't tried it already I strongly urge you to. It is an open beta so you don't need an invite and it is on all platforms except the Wii of course!

I Like the Classics!

If you haven't heard, Tony Bennett's new album, Duets II, came out on the 16th of this month. Now I do realize that I'm a little late to report on this but I just now decided to buy it. After listening to it just once I have fallen completely in love with it! I love everything about it, everything is just perfect! I have always been partial to that old fashioned sound. Music from the 20s, 30s, and even the 40s has always been some of my favorite kind of music. You just don't find stuff like this anymore and it is a real shame. I think what I love most about this kind of music is the artists. With this style of music they really have to rely purely on their talent. Auto tuning and synthesizing wont work with this kind of music and artists like Britney Spears and Katy Perry, just to name a few, would never be able to sing on an album like this. Anyway I HIGHLY recommend this album, its pure perfection.

News?

Now that Gears 3 came out there isn't really much to report on! I could to continue to create hype for the rest of the games coming out this fall but what for? I mean we all know when all the games are coming out and based on which ones we want the most we pretty much hype ourselves up! This may sound like its going nowhere but I do have something to talk about.

As I'm sure most of you have heard the Apple iPhone 5 will be coming out this October just as I said it would but there is something I noticed when reading a few articles about its release. If you read even just one article about the iPhone release you will notice that there is nothing about the whole bar incident. Just as it happened last year Apple decided to create hype/panic when they told the press that the iPhone 5 prototype had been left in an bar and then stolen! They are not saying anything about it because there is nothing there is nothing else to say. As I predicted it was a scam. It is still early and anything can change but we are so close to the convention or whatever they are having on October 4th that it seems unlikely! Either way I am super excited and I cant wait to get my hands on a new iPhone 5!

WHY NETFLIX?!?!?!

As I'm sure you have all heard Netflix decided to completely split their streaming service from their DVD by mail service! Now the DVD service will be called Qwickster and apparently it will be a lot more expensive than the original Netflix plan. I was really upset with this because I loved getting both DVD by mail and instant streaming mostly because even thought they said that they were putting more money toward streaming I haven't really noticed anything! I will be keeping the instant streaming but I'm going to drop the DVD service! Well... what are you going to do right?!

In other news Sony has released more info about their upcoming system the PSP Vita! To be honest it wasn't great news in fact it was downright horrible! They basically said that the system will have a disgustingly short battery life. I'm not sure how long it lasts but a lot of people including my self are pretty angry about this. On the bright side...... well maybe the OK side Sony said that you can purchase it with an upgraded battery for an undisclosed price! I'm am really excited about this system but it doesn't seem to be coming together very well!

Excitement!!

OK... So I think I fixed my schedule and I should be able to start to writing more regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays!!

There are a lot of Games that I'm sure we are all looking foreword to buying this fall! Some of the most popular have to be COD Modern Warfare 3, Assassins Creed Revelations, and of course Gears Of War 3! Since Gears of War is so close to being released it already has a review! I have read it and it sounds loads better that the second! I like many people love an unbiased  review and the most unbiased site around hast to be Game Pro, you can read the Full gears review HERE!! As for the other games, no review yet but I'm sure they will be up within the next month.

The other bit of excitement is that Steam has released Portal (the first one) for free on their website! If you have Steam like I do and are wondering why you haven't seen it its because they did absolutely no advertising for it! It is only free until the 20th of this month so if you don't have it already you should go download it now!!

Like I said I will be writing more often and I hope that you will visit more often!! 

Its My Birthday!!

Its my birthday today and the gifts keep rolling in! I just woke up and already I've received a brand new iPod touch the 32GB model to replace my old broken iTouch which was also 4th generation! I also got all the accessories for the iTouch I could possible hope for as well as iBeats earbuds all form my older sister! My little sister got me new shoes from Adidas which I am most looking forward to getting (there coming form Zappos VIP)! They are called Adidas Campus and apparently Snoop Dog had a hand in designing them! Snoop Dog is one of my favorite rappers of all time because we were born in the same place so I'm pretty sure thats why my sister chose them! I'm not sure what they look like but my sister has good taste in clothes so I'm sure they will be Awesome!! My parents say that they are getting me something big and expensive so they're really hoping I like it. They said they are going to give it to me when they take me out to Red Lobster tonight! My grandma and grandpa got me a whole new wardrobe which I was there to pick. My grandma on my mom's side got me a $50 gift card to Best Buy! That, by comparison, may seem like a crappy gift but I'm A LOT close to her than I am to my grandparents on my dad's side and she doesnt have a lot of money so I always treasure her gists the most!! She is like a second mom to me and actually I always call her mom which does create some confusion when I'm around both her and my mom! This is already an awesome birthday and I still have many more surprises ahead!!! I cant wait!!!

I have a question and I am begging you to answer! I know your reading this but I never get any comments so PLEASE comment this time!!!!!! What is the best Birthday present you have ever gotten? I dont necessarily mean the biggest or the most expensive but I mean which meant the most to you?

Tightened Schedule

Now that school has started back up it's really hard to keep up with all the blog worthy news which is why I didn't write last Friday. Today I have some "I told you so's" and some other various news.

I told you that the rumor about Nintendo making an attachment for the 3DS was true. It was confirmed that they will be making an attachment that will add another analog stick as well as more shoulder buttons. It's just stupid that Nintendo didn't realize that they would need these controls in the first place when they were first designing the 3DS. Now we are going to have an attachment that will no doubt make the system bulky and hard to carry around!

In other various news David Guetta's new album, Nothing but the Beat, came out last week and it is a little less than I expected! I love all David Guetta songs but these didn't seem as good as his previous works. In my opinion the only amazing song on the album is "Where Them At". So........... yeah, I was disappointed!

What a Load of Crap!!

If you google PS4 in images the majority of the images look like the one above, that's right there are more PS4 rumors! The full rumor says that Sony will start manufacturing the PS4 this fall to be ready for a 2012 release where 20 million units will then be shipped. While I kinda want to believe it I'm going to say that it's FALSE! Sony's whole goal for the PS3 was to keep it going to 2015. To be honest I think that Sony has barely started working on the basic ideas for the next system. A more reasonable rumor would have been to say that the PS4 would be released in mid to late 2013 or early to mid 2014. I'm definitely putting this rumor in the "load of crap" pile!
In other news an Apple employee has left the iPhone 5 prototype in a bar.....AGAIN!!! This is the exact same scam they pulled on us last year to get us excited for the iPhone 4's release but they took it a little further this time! The have supposedly gotten the police involved and have searched one of the suspects houses! I for one don't believe a word of this and neither should you! I'm sure the real prototype is safe and secure back at Apple headquarters!

CANT STOP LISTENING and Other , mostly lame, News

The Carter IV has totally engulfed my life since I bought it monday morning! I cant seem to go five minutes without listening to it!! Its ten times better than I thought it would be and I'm even listening to at this very moment! My favorite song has to be President Carter  , there is just something about that makes me love it more than the others.

The mostly lame news is about that fag we all know as Justin Bieber. He crashed a Ferrari (dumb ass) and the damage was estimated to be around $200,000. Even If I was rich enough to burn a Ferrari every week I think I would be a lot more cautious when driving one!!

The Carter IV (Deluxe Edition of Course)

I forgot to mention yesterday that the Carter IV by Lil Wayne finally came out at midnight. I stayed up to buy it and after listening to all the songs I can honestly say that it was worth the wait. Every track is pure gold. It is way better than I could have ever expected. The collaborations are amazing but I'm a little disappointed that he didn't do one with Nicki Minaj. I definitely recommend the deluxe version because for just 5 dollars extra you can get 4 extra songs. It really is a huge album, the regular version is already 15 tracks witch is usually the amount of tracks in a deluxe version but the deluxe edition has 19 tracks! In conclusion it is an amazing album and definitely worth the price!!!

Hackers Finally do Something Right!

As I'm sure you all know the VMAs were last night and it was pretty good. The performances were amazing, the tributes to Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse were very well done and it was all around a really great show!! Unfortunately not everyone I wanted to win actually won and I felt like some of the winners didn't diserve the award. The exceptions were Adele, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, and I guess Lady Gaga or as she was know throughout the night, Joe. Now Adele didn't win anything durring the show but she won for best are direction, best cinematography, and best editing but I thought for sure that she would win for Video of the Year. Instead Katy Perry won and this is one of the people that I think didn't diserve it. For one her video wasn't ever as popular as rolling in the deep and just based off that Adele should have won. The second person that I dont think should have won was Tyler the Creator for Best New Artist. I feel this way because I have never even heard his song and I didn't even know who he was until last night. The biggest disappointment of the night came when Justin Bieber won for Best Male Video. Honestly I kinda knew that it was going to happen but it was still annoying. Hopefully as Vanilla Ice predicted his time is ending and you can tell it will be soon. Just think that two years ago he would have been nominated in all the categories even if he didn't belong in them so thank god it was only one this year.

This morning I woke up as usual but for some reason I was compelled to check twitter. I dont usually check it until about noon but I felt like I had to this morning. I was looking at what was trending and I saw something about Justin Bieber. It was #JustinBieberVEVO. I thought it was something about how his videos had a sudden spike of popularity due to his win last night which I don't really care about but I decided to click it anyways. I was pleasantly surprised to see that all his music videos have been deleted off youtube. I decided to read more into it but as of right now nobody is really sure why its happened. To me is sounds like hackers which is why I titled this post like I did. For once they aren't making people's lives miserable but they are actually helping the world by doing something I really wish I could have had a part of. What did you think of the VMAs? Deus Ex: Human Revolution Review!

I went to Game Stop yesterday and I was looking around at all the new games and I decided to buy Deus Ex. I dont like to do full reviews they just take too long so I will give you the just of it! I stayed up all night playing it and I have to say that I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. Everything from the gameplay to the visual quality is just so so. The best part of the whole thing is the story and even with such a great story its still isn't that great of a game. I not trying to say that its a bad game I'm just saying that it could be better. The story is strangely reminiscent of two movies I once saw, Surrogates and Repo Men. If you've seen either of those movies you will know what I'm talking about if you play this game. Whether or not they actually took ideas from these movies is beyond me but it does seem rather close to be a coincidence. As far as the gameplay goes I would have to describe it as a combination of splinter cell and some generic first person shooter game. When I first heard about this game I thought it was pronounced Doos Ex which was funny because if you say it fast it sounds like Do Sex but after playing it I found out that  it is said Day-us Ex wich isn't as fun and sounds rather nerdy. Over all I would have to say that I am disappointed and...............well that pretty much it. Please dont forget to comment and follow!

Steve Jobs retired as CEO of Apple Inc.. He said that he is no linger capable of doing his duties at the company and has named Tim Cook as his successor! Apparently he will still be chairman although I'm not sure how all that stuff works!
